Mission
To provide comprehensive Oral Health care to the nation and have such care accessible to all the citizens of Zimbabwe by offering the necessary curative and preventive measures which address the needs of these citizens in a way that caters for everybody irrespective of race, colour, economic background or any other discriminating grounds and this to also merge with the efforts of all the other health departments to achieve the overall goals of health.

Objectives
To create an environment that has the capacity to cure and reduce the incidence of oral diseases;
To promote healthful life styles; and
To provide a deeper knowledge of oral diseases and their existence and prevention, conducive to healthful behaviour to the people of this nation.
Aims
To ensure that the oral health needs and demands of the Zimbabwean people of all races and economic backgrounds are met with special emphasis on the reinforcement of preventive and oral health education programmes.
To provide the training of the manpower necessary for the implementation, execution, sustainance and monitoring of Oral Health programmes and activities.
To provide accessibility of treatment and Oral Health information to all.
To have an even more active participation in the provision of health in general.
To sustain Oral Health efforts and standards and avoid/prevent their deterioration.
To cater for the welfare of Oral Health personnel or employees through the Ministry of Health.
